TJ Penrod
Advisor
TJ Penrod has worked mentoring teens for over 20 years in residential programs and in the community. Prior to joining the Advisor Team at Mountain Springs, TJ worked as a Residential Director at another one of the CERTS Programs. At that same program, TJ taught Social Studies for a few years. He also worked as the Assistant Residential Director, Shift Leader and a mentor. TJ brings a calm and direct approach to talking with teens. He loves to see them reach their full potential.
TJ has worked as an adjunct drama teacher at Southern Utah University. When he's not working with the students at Mountain Springs, he can be found performing and teaching at OTC Comedy Inprov, the theatre and training center he co-founded. He is a highly successfully improv actor performing at festivals across the country and internationally. As part of OTC, TJ has taught improv techniques to students in Utah and around the western United States.
